Appreciation

Tourism Elliston in partnership with the Town of Elliston and the Stewardship Association of Municipalities is committed to protecting the flora and fauna of Elliston Point and surrounding areas.

Education is essential for conserving the flora and fauna of Elliston Point. It fosters awareness in both residents and visitors and turns them into respectful stewards who help protect this fragile ecosystem.

To foster an appreciation of our environment we need to start by truly seeing it. With the help of interpretation, our aim is to develop a sense of stewardship in both residents and visitors alike.

"To protect the wildlife, geology, and heritage of Elliston Point as a proud partner of the Discovery UNESCO Global Geopark. Through community led conservation and education, we celebrate the deep connection between our coastal habitat and the traditional way of life in Elliston."

Elliston’s story is written in its landscape. From the cliffs and islands that provide a safe haven for the Atlantic Puffin to the rocky soil that nourished root crops and spawned over 130 historic root cellars, our environment and culture are forever linked. As a proud partner of the Discovery UNESCO Global Geopark, we protect this 500-million-year-old story so it can be enjoyed for generations to come.
